Surfly are often seen in deserts near oases, waiting patiently on the water's surface. When Sandile and their evolutions come to rest, Surfly land nearby and use their proboscis to drink salt from the tear ducts of these Pokémon.
Its colorfully patterned wings are its most prominent feature. They gather on puddles after evening downpours, gliding across the surface of water as if sliding.
