Travelers are warned against traipsing into Sylass territory. Sylass gets attached to visitors quickly, embracing them with its ribbons to pacify them and making them disinclined to leave. Sylass freezes any who try to rescue the visitors.
Folklore claims that Sylass uses its ribbons to drag weary travelers deep into snowbanks to freeze to death. In reality, Sylass creates snow caves in the snowdrifts and tries to bring frostbitten travelers there to warm up.
It freezes foes with an icy breath nearly -60 degrees F. It sends a soothing aura from its ribbonlike feelers to calm fights.
