Sylpede releases a venom from its body that, in small doses, induces calm. It uses this to soothe its young during storms.
By wrapping its body around an enemy, Sylpede can transfer lethal amounts of toxin through its feelers. Some pharmaceutical companies have harvested these toxins from a trained Sylpede, diluting them into effective antidepressants.
Highly aggressive, it uses the claws near its neck to dig into its opponents and poison them. It sends a soothing aura from its ribbonlike feelers to calm fights.
