Despite the imperceptible similarity of the Shiny Stone Sylmask carries to a normal one, it is a more volatile and unstable evolution stone. It is said only the most confident and just Pokémon can touch its Shiny Stone without triggering any change.

These Pokémon arose from the spirits of people interred in graves in past ages. It sends a soothing aura from its ribbonlike feelers to calm fights.
