Despite its large physique, Talonlem can take flight by venting fiery sparks from the underside of its body. When it sheds its craggy body, it appears to explode since all the trapped sparks become free at once.
It is said to live in volcanic craters on mountain peaks. In the fever of an exciting battle, it showers embers from the gaps between its feathers and takes to the air.
