Tentamie can send out energy waves that can stun people and Pokémon. Their population fluctuates dramatically: although they can reproduce anywhere in large amounts, they overfeed, causing many species, including themselves, to rapidly decline.

People in ancient times imagined that Tentamie were transformed from the reflections of stars that twinkled on gentle waves at night. It lives in complex rock formations on the ocean floor and traps prey using its 80 tentacles.
