Small and inexperienced, Torchdew stay as far from combat as possible. If they feel threatened, Torchdew will shiver and shake, causing poisonous powder to sprinkle from their feathers. When attacked, Torchdew will spit fire at the foe and flee.
Over the winter, it closes its bud and endures the cold. If attacked, it strikes back by spitting balls of fire it forms in its stomach.
