Torchplume are devoted parents. Their eggs are kept snug within the petals atop their heads, and both partners take turns caring for them. After hatching, the young are carried by their parents until their feathers are strong enough to support them.
In seasons when it produces more pollen, the air around a Torchplume turns yellow with the powder as it walks. If attacked, it strikes back by spitting balls of fire it forms in its stomach.
