Tortump are frequently so large, they can only inhabit small trees. Small Pokémon like to live between the branches, but the weight can be too great for Tortump, so they will corkscrew their tails into the ground to stay steady.

These Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest. Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests.
