Tyran can form toxic spikes from the acid inside its stomach. Rapid movements help Tyran produce this acid and build pressure in its body. When danger appears, Tyran releases the spikes to poison enemies and protect itself.

Its highly toxic barbs are thought to have developed as protection for this small-bodied Pokémon. Tyran become stressed out if they do not get to train every day.
