Even though Ursanub do not need to hibernate, they enjoy sleeping throughout most of the day. During the few hours of daylight that they are awake, they slam their bodies against trees to knock down berries.

It roots for food by rubbing its snout against the ground. In forests, it is said that there are many streams and towering trees where an Ursanub gathers food.
