Venuligatr were first discovered deep within a lush and humid marsh, first assumed to be a large plant that had grown to the surface of a pond. It was quickly discovered that they hide as such in order to swiftly and mercilessly ambush prey.

It opens its huge mouth to intimidate enemies. Venuligatr's flower is said to take on vivid colors if it gets plenty of nutrition and sunlight.
