Volsect uses a flashing light pattern from the mushroom on its back to lure in smaller Pokémon. Once they draw close enough, it lets out a bright flash to blind and stun them so it can infect them with its spores.

Volsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. With their taillights lit, Volsect fly in a swarm, drawing geometric designs in the night sky.
