Volcatrodon use their wings to effortlessly glide across the sea floor. They are known to nest in hydrothermal vents, allowing their eggs to absorb heat. In recent expeditions, researchers were able to find an entire colony of Volcatrodon inside a vent.

It has a pliable body without any bones. A sea of fire engulfs the surroundings of their battles, since they use their six wings to scatter their ember scales.
