While Luchu is widely sought after by collectors of cute Pokémon for its appearance, it tends to have a cranky disposition and may purposefully disobey its Trainer if not properly appreciated.

Lushrew burrows into the sand with its head poking out, the green feelers on its head serving both as photosynthesizers and as detectors of air currents. If it feels a creature approaching, Lushrew ducks into the burrow it created until they pass.

Luslash has been observed burying itself in the sand face down, as the spines on its back resemble a flower. When doing so, it creates a small tunnel of air to extend its time underground.

This Pokémon is fiercely protective of its young. It uses Growth to puff itself up, but that often also frightens its babies.

Luking's crown-like horns represent their pride, which is something they tend to have an abundance of. If it is abandoned or disgraced, the Luking will shed this tough outgrowth and lose a vital piece of its defence in the process.

Throughout its lifespan, which supposedly spans a millennium, its colours will steadily get brighter. Traditionally thought to be a result of some blessing, this is related to its fur thinning out over time, so the remaining fur becomes brighter.

Lacking a mouth, Lupuff relies on photosynthesis for its nutrition. It can put people and Pokémon to sleep with its Sweet Scent.

Lusaur's bright color and sickly sweet smell are both characteristics of the venom-like coating along its petals. Lusaur blends into flower fields, pressing itself to the ground and waiting for something to be coaxed by its tasty trap.

The flame at the end of Lumander's tail releases a form of natural incense. This smoke is used in several cultures as a way to cleanse negative auras and revitalize one's spirit.

Lutuff can puff itself up to almost triple its size. It uses this occasionally as a defense mechanism, but primarily to expand the surface area of its body to facilitate an increase in photosynthesis.

The cannons that make up Lutoise shells are powered by photosynthesis. When enough light has been gathered, they will shoot out lightweight flower seeds that grow rapidly in water.

Charantis stalks chili pepper farms during the day, thriving in the brightly colored plants it mimics. It struggles to catch prey at night due to its bright tail, so the tail gets tucked under its appendages, leaving Charantis temporarily vulnerable.

The shell on Squirtrantis's back takes on a luminescent sheen when it is being properly taken care of. When its needs are neglected, this color fades to a dull beige that is matte when in sunlight.

In order to protect its soft, sensitive body, Warantis is endowed with shield-like arms made up of scaly plates. It struggles with streamlining its body and tends to spend its time in the reeds above shore instead.

The surface of this Pokémon's shell is tough, but its inner body is fragile. The salt levels in the water can easily damage its vibrant colours.
