Growlwear are fiercely loyal and protective, their warmth and fluffiness making them popular companions and mascots. They often have some trouble controlling their own strength, but their plushiness usually keeps anyone from getting too hurt.

The frequency of Arcatata raiding cellars has led to many restaurants domesticating Arcatata so that chefs may train them properly. Now, Arcatata use their flames to cook fondue, earning leftover cheese as a reward.

Arcackle enjoy leaping through leaves, usually accidentally catching them on fire. Over the years, domestic Arcackle have been trained to run through tea leaves and berries in small pools to help brew new, fresh herbal teas.

Arcauk shovel waste and trash into their mouths, using their molten saliva to burn it down into fuel. They fight by leaving trails of fur-covered sludge then spitting out globs of lava to ignite the entire area at once.

Charpie sprays silk through the fire on its tail. While the silk itself is resistant to burning, it can still carry the flame, allowing Charpie to better aim its fire and create burning traps.

Charpod leap great distances through the air, rapidly swirling their fiery tails to create updrafts to carry them. They harden their bodies to help brace for landing.

Charbuff bounce into the air while flailing their tails to try and intimidate larger foes. Fortunately for them, the stray embers scattered by their tails are usually enough to drive foes away.

Charbird store coal within their tails that can be ignited to turn their tails into miniature flamethrowers. Despite their threatening appearance, they are very deliberate with their flames and even light people's fireplaces in winter.

Polidle encase themselves in poisonous bubbles while they swim to help them breathe and protect themselves from predators. If they get tired while traveling, they will curl up and simply drift along in their bubble.

Late in the night, Polihoot keep watch over ponds with their wide eyes. They hypnotize prey by slowly flying back and forth while rotating the spiral pattern on their stomachs.

Polirina withdraw their barbs while swimming to better manuever through the water. If a Polirina is about to collide with something, it will flare out its barbs to slow down and suddenly swing it tail to make a sharp turn.

Polirak weaves intricate spirals into its webs to ensure that it holds enough water to stay properly hydrated. If a Trainer or larger Pokémon approaches its web, the Polirak will descend and wave the spiral on its back to repel them.

Poliang rotate the larger section of their body as they move, hypnotizing foes with the spiraling pattern before suddenly turning another direction and hitting them with a rapid flurry of uppercuts or haymakers.

If an Abligatr senses prey approaching while it's asleep, it will open its jaws and teleport into the path of the prey. Once saitsfied with its meal, it teleports back to its original position and falls back asleep.

Abran practice their psychic powers by levitating the poison they create. Unfortunately, they often fall asleep during their training, causing them to lose track of where they were at in their progress.

Despite being constantly asleep, Abrachi is still fully aware of its surroundings, using its psychic power to sense everything around it. Legends claim that Abrachi will only awaken to grant the wish of a pure-hearted Trainer.

Kadafing travel by levitating spoons with telekinesis to exercise their brains instead of working to fly themselves. Stray psychic power emanates from the bumps along their bodies as nearly transparent mist.

Since ancient times, Alastar have focused their psychic energy through their spoons to carve out rock formations and create new waterways. A spoon recovered from an Alastar fossil is considered a valuable artifact.

Alasel are constantly performing precise calculations, so they require frequent meals to keep up their energy. They fling out their spoons to swipe food off of people's plates before telekinetically pulling them back for their feasts.

Being able to sense even the slightest vibrations through the ground, Alaswine often levitate slightly to avoid being overwhelmed by every sensation. They dig their shovels into the ground to act as focuses for their psychic abilities in battle.

Alabink float continuously by focusing their psychic energy through their crystals, allowing their minds to focus on other tasks. They can immediately determine the mineral composition of any environment.

Majask's incredible speed allows them to close the distance between themselves and an opponent in less than a second, delivering a flurry of blows before the opponent can blink. Unfortunately, they often struggle to keep up with their own speed.

Mamander battle each other by swinging fists on their tails to deliver powerful, makeshift punches. The energy burning along a Mamander's tail is directly tied to its fighting spirit, dimming if the Mamander loses and burning brighter if it wins.

Mamask taunt talented fighters to try and test if anyone is worthy of the championship belts that they flaunt. If a Mamask deems a Trainer worthy, it will agree to travel with them, but it will still refuse to hand over the physical belt itself.

Belltad are most active after storms, hiding among the scattered leaves. They take large drinks of water before traveling away from the lakes they call home, helping them stay hydrated and energized.

While Squirtpod's bodies are naturally rather sturdy, they still harden themselves to make sure their sensitive insides are protected. If they attempt to harden themselves too many times in a row, they will be unable to move until it wears off.

Originally thought to have been taller, more aggressive Squirtle, studies on the structure of the shell have determined that it actually has more in common with Wartortle. If it goes long enough without evolving, it may grow fur on its tail.

Squirtoise command squads of Squirtle, firing them from the cannons to help them travel great distances. While they have a reputation for being delinquents, they will do everything they can to help someone in need.

Weepinfing flap their large leaves to lift themselves off the ground, inflating themselves with toxic gases lighter than air to stay afloat. They expel these gases to attack, rapidly flapping as they refill themselves to avoid falling.

Victreezor release a sweet scent from their pitcher-plant pincers before scooping up their prey and dissolving them with the acid inside. Their bodies are made of a durable steel that can withstand their own poison no matter how much it splashes.

Tentagar launch themselves and glide through the air before diving back down to propel themselves through the water. They catch their prey by extending tentacles from their claws, wrapping them around prey before dragging them in to finish them off.

As Tentasaur walks along the seafloor, it shelters smaller Pokémon beneath its tentacles, letting them rest on its soft leaves. The tentacles poison and paralyze any intruders or predators, which then become the Tentasaur's prey.

Geoeon telekinetically gather stones full of reflective minerals like mica to reflect sunlight along cavern walls. They use their fist-like tails to fling dull stones they don't care to keep at intruders.

Geofable stand at the edge of rocky cliffs watching the night sky. During meteor showers, they will fly up into space and catch meteors before they enter the atmosphere, harmlessly tossing them back into space.

It is believed that in ancient times, people would roll groups of Graveode down hills for entertainment, placing bets on which is faster. To this day, Graveode pride themselves on their speed, only slowing down to mend the cracks in their bodies.

Gravelee primarily use their arms to balance and direct themselves while performing powerful kicks. They extend their limbs to help them scale cliffs, kicking hard enough to shatter rock.

Gravechan are able to harden the gloves on their fists to be harder than rock. They carefully punch out sections of cave walls to create new tunnels and free people or Pokémon from cave-ins.

The tongues of Gravetung are very sensitive, to the point where they encase them in rocks for protection. Different Gravetung use different types of rocks in this process to enjoy their favorite minerals.

Gravefing struggle to inflate themselves enough to lift off the ground. They instead release dust broken down from the rocks they eat to act as propulsion to suspend themselves in the air.

Gravegar use their claws as hooks to dig into the sides of cliffs, quickly and effortlessly scaling mountainsides. They glide around the cliffside with their tails swaying slowly, waiting to dig up ore deposits for their meals.

Gravedour live near volcanoes where they use the arms on their backs to gather molten rocks to make into armor. They're rather playful by nature, leaping and splashing around lava as if it was water.

Gravefairy dwell deep within Mt. Moon, building up rock formations to protect the precious Moon Stones within. They study their constructions meticulously should they ever seek to evolve using these Moon Stones in case of a threat.

Gravebat use their large teeth to break through rocks in order to grind them into dust and gather minerals from within. They scatter the leftover dust as they fly, blinding opponents or intruders to their territory.

Gravebra fashion spoons out of minerals they gather in order to focus their psychic powers. They primarily use these powers to compare various minerals and see the composition of caves around them.

Commonly mistaken for regular Graveler, the main distinction of a Gravedude is its lack of feet. It almost always keeps its newly developed second pair of arms by its side, as if it doesn't even realize it has them.

Gravelem gather rocks around themselves to protect their bodies as they prepare for evolution. They often seem confused on which set of arms to use, as if trying to decide which one they prefer.

Despite their magnetic powers, Gravemite prefer to use the magnets they carry as blunt maces. They rapidly spin in place, smacking their opponents repeatedly while pulling them back and forth with their magnets.

Burrowing into rocks at the bottom of underground caves, Graveby only surface to gather more rocks for their shelters. They crush rocks into dust in their grip then release the dust into the water to fill it with minerals that will help them grow.

The spines along a Goseed's body are composed of nephrite jade. Goseed will use their sturdy bodies to carve out spots to burrow within caves, eating the minerals inside to help grow their spines.

Ponyvoir have acute control over fire, making them popular companions for ranch hands in need of blacksmiths. They help produce horseshoes for other Pokémon, but give any spares to their Trainers for good luck.

Rapimortar stomp the ground to warn opponents not to approach. If someone doesn't heed these warnings, Rapimortar raise their arms behind them and blast out streams of fire to launch forward and deliver a powerful headbutt to the intruder.

Rapiki are popular companions of farmers, who use them to manage the keys of every set of doors at their stables. Unfortunately, it can be hard to convince Rapiki to lock the stables as they enjoy running with the other Pokémon in the fields.

Slowsaur rest along shorelines, not seeming to realize the fact that Shellder enjoy snacking on their backs. It is theorized that the Shellder on a Slowsaur will only evolve once the Slowsaur realizes it's there.

Warpod keep their external shells hardened at all times to protect their sensitive bodies without restricting their movement. They tuck their bodies into their shells to hide from predators, propelling themselves with water to escape.

Originally thought to have been smaller, more energetic Wartortle, studies on Wartle's tails have determined that the fur hasn't fully developed. They occasionally struggle to fit into their shells as their bodies grow with their evolution.

Slowvile stand atop frozen lakes to act as their guardians year round. Unfortunately, they don't seem to realize that the ice melts in the spring, causing them to sink into the water.

Magnetata nibble on electrical wires and metal beams, potentially causing disasters in metropolitan areas if enough of them gather at once. When startled, they will run away, using the magnets on their tails to pull metal scraps to feast on later.

Assembled from clusters of tangled-up and worn-out wires, Magnegela release stray sparks when they try to focus their magnetic powers. They attempt to construct satellite bodies to help channel their powers, but none have succeeded so far.

Acting as a sort of sentient jumper cable, Magnecor clamp onto things they want charged and use their tail to drain power from objects nearby.

Despite the raging fire at their tips, Farmar's stalks will only burn out if they're separated from the respective Farmar for extended periods of time. In recent times, Farmar have been trained to help signal plane landings.

Dosis are highly curious by nature, each head poking around in different directions before the mysterious liquid surrounding them pulls them back together. If one head is curious enough about its study, it will convince the other to investigate.

The center head of a Dosaur is in charge of determining the diet for the other two, who produce their poison. Although the two side heads often struggle to focus or get along, the central head remains a vigilant protector.

While the three heads of Dokoal often get into squabbles over minor things, they will fiercely work together to protect the nest on their main bodies. They make up for their low walking speed by rapidly extending their long necks to peck at foes.

Seelia excitedly run up to Trainers traveling through icy regions to share their food and play in the snow together. If a Trainer offers food to a Seelia in return, they will receive a hug that keeps them warm for the rest of the day.

Popular companions of coast guards, Dewkhan help rescue Pokémon lost at sea. Once a Dewkhan has secured a passenger within its pouch, it will refuse to let them out until it's sure that they're warm and healthy.

Grirak are made of a highly adhesive sludge, allowing them to move along walls and ceilings with ease. They leave trails of sludge behind them to stick prey in place, gliding along their own trails to gulp down anything caught within.

A Grirua's body is made of a constantly flowing and shifting ooze. Grirua can construct and color their ooze to form false images around them, splattering anyone who tries to attack them with poison before fleeing.

Mudos cast out their hind legs to stretch them out into nets, collecting whatever they can to feed into the mouths on their backs. Once full, they collapse these mouths back into their bodies and slide away into the night on a trail of sludge.

Mukazam gather spoons along their highly corrosive ooze to break them down and absorb the minerals inside of them. In battle, they use their psychic powers to rapidly rotate the spoons to fling their toxic sludge at opponents.

Blastoed store water within their shells before blasting torrents into the air large enough to rain down across multiple city blocks. They sing while walking through their rain, drumming on their shells to the beat.

While Blastlass may appear to be wrapped in cloth, the material is sturdier than stone. Blastlass blasts precise streams of chilling water, almost seeming to detect where the target will be before they move.

The shells that Blastle gain upon evolution have grown to accommodate the cannons growing from their back. They tuck themselves into their shells during battle, preferring to stay on the defensive and blast water from afar.

Blastortle polish their cannons with their fuzzy tails, making sure that they both shine the same brilliant white. If their tails get dirty, they will spray the entire area with water until they wash the dirt or the offender away.

The fire atop a Shellmeleon's head is fueled by oxygen stored within the Shellmeleon's shell, allowing it to burn strongly even while underwater. To flee from predators, Shellmeleon create a burst of flames from their mouths to propel themselves away.

Cloysaur excitedly run around poking things with their long horns. If a bigger Pokémon tries to retaliate, they will quickly tuck themselves back into their shells and let their poisonous spines do the work for them.

The spores emanating from a Gasaur's bulb drift towards people and Pokémon, drawing them in to abandoned gardens and giving them a sudden urge to tend to them. All while the Gasaur watches with the same unwavering smile.

Haunpede roll at incredible speeds, phasing through any obstacles in their paths. Once they have arrived at their destinations, they dig their claws into the nearest surface to stop themselves.

Genpass casts out collections of cackling shadows to intimidate all who hear them. They possess an odd power to draw anyone they pass back towards the central body, allowing it to feed on the captive audience's fears.

Onsly position themselves atop cliffs and toss down the rocks from the top of their head that they steadily regrow over time. Many Trainers often confuse Onsly for the heads of Onix that are emerging from the ground.

Onshrew use their large horns to help them dig into the ground. They curl up into balls and roll around, steering or launching different directions by extending their horns and striking the ground beneath them.

Onslash leap into the air and curl into balls to attack with their rocky spines. They gather rocks to sharpen their spines, constantly working to polish and refine them, carving out tunnels in caves to find the sturdiest stones to train with.

Onmander have trouble containing their fire, so they gather rocks to form armor that contains their excess energy. If their armor ever starts to melt, they will use the molten rocks to hold the new ones together.

Drowursa use their long noses to collect honey from hives, messily scooping it into their paws. After they've eaten their fill, they will use any remaining honey to create a strange mist that ensures sweet dreams for everyone nearby.

Hypbok paralyze their foes with fear by flashing the patterns on their chest before slowly waving the pendulums on their tails. The victims of their paralysis are even more susceptible to hypnotic suggestions.

Hypgon-Z collects discarded phones and projects hypnotic images on them to lull Trainers to sleep. If a Hypgon-Z sees a Trainer up late on their phone, it will send the signal of the display onto their phone instead and eat their dreams.

Hyprina are devious tricksters, luring in prey by hypnotizing them with their pendulums. However, they only go after prey larger than themselves, as they are fiercely protective of smaller Pokémon and want to make sure they have enough to share.

Hypthorn rocks back and forth, suspended in midair by its psychic powers. It uses its middle pendulum to guide the target's eyes back and forth between the other two, making sure they are thoroughly hypnotized.

The mysterious flames that Hyplure produce illuminate their odd floating pendulums in a myriad of dazzling patterns. Anyone that stares too long at this display will become transfixed, unable to even think of escape.

Hypnat use their psychic powers to detect their surroundings for signs of approaching predators. If anything manages to catch them off guard, they will startle with a burst of poisonous spores and psychically project their fear to their foe.

Hypmoth hide within a mist of poisonous scales from their wings, using their psychic powers to detect the fear of their prey. They appear from the mist only to hypnotize their target, feeding on the fear before disappearing into the mist once more.

Hypler swing their pendulums simultaneously to increase the range of their psychic powers. While they prefer attacking from a distance, they are able to swing their pendulums hard enough to shatter stone when gathering minerals for meals.

Krabyu scuttle along the seafloor, snapping their claws as warnings to predators. They quickly tilt their bodies to strike with their claws, using their arms to catch themselves and push back up onto their feet.

Krabark use the spray of bubbles from their body to reflect light off of themselves, creating mirages to blend into their surroundings. If anyone gets close enough to see through the mirage, Krabark will ready their claws as a warning.

The fine hairs along a Krabnat's body are laced with toxins. If the latent poison isn't enough to finish an opponent, Krabnat will strike with their claws while wiggling their antenna, scattering a fresh dose of poison.

The spines along a Kingnat's back are highly toxic. Kingnat fight by striking back and forth with their claws before suddenly turning around, defending themselves by blocking any incoming attacks with their spikes.

Kingmoth wings are surprisingly solid, containing layers of muscles that allow them to fly despite the heft. In battle, they fly into the air, only to suddenly drop, striking with their large claw and using the recoil to keep them aloft.
