Bulbarorus accumulates nutrients during a single polar day to last an entire year, storing that energy in its flower bud. Its green sail absorbs energy in low light conditions as long as the sun is shining; excess energy is crystallized as dust.

Using its diamond-shaped crystals, it can instantly create a wall of ice to block an opponent's attack. Bulbarorus can be seen napping in bright sunlight.
