Cactshrew dig elaborate burrows to catch and hold water, which they slowly drink when not basking in the sun. If other Pokémon try to take any of this water, Cactshrew will ambush them at the entrance to its tunnel.
When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly. After spending thousands of years in harsh deserts, its blood transformed into the same substances as sand.
