Carterra channel light energy through their crystalline tail, releasing it from a spot within the geode on their back. The light bounces through the many crystals within, focusing into a powerful laser that can carve through rock like butter.

Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests. Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body.
