Charvoir will remain happy and healthy as long as one of the flames on its chest or tail is still burning. Managing to extinguish both will lead to it becoming extremely sick and despondent.
It apparently does not feel the pull of gravity because it supports itself with psychic power. The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions.
