In the scorched wake of forest fires, Chartump will drift along the razed forest floor, snuffing out remaining small fires and embers by feeding on the heat. Places where disastrous fires have swept through regrow much faster thanks to their efforts.

These Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest. The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions.
