Legends say that Cualga would appear before certain humans and send them back in time. The stories all share a common theme of the time-traveler wanting to save a lost loved one.

A single mythical roar from Cualga can cause seemingly miraculous recovery from disease and injury as they turn back time. Despite their best efforts, they cannot revive those who have already passed.

It has the power to control time. It pines for the mother it will never see again.
