Cupod are clad in a calcium-rich shell as hard as dense bone. They tend to hide within or near piles of bones left behind by predators.

Cupod conceal themselves within the bones of long dead Pokémon to protect themselves while they wait to evolve. They have very limited movement whilst hiding, almost entirely reliant on choosing a sturdy bone cocoon to stay safe.

Its shell is as hard as an iron slab. It pines for the mother it will never see again.
