While Wurmple spend most of their time eating in order to evolve, Duscple doesn't need to eat. It's said its sustenance comes from absorbing the souls of those who touch its shadow while it hangs from the branches of trees.

It sticks to tree branches and eats leaves. It is thought that its body is hollow with only a spectral ball of fire burning inside.
