Ferroper cling onto rocks at the mouth of caves in the foot of cliffs, eating seaweed that washes up at high tide. Their spikes contain a mild sedative, so some Trainers keep them to help them sleep.

Ferroper usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally. They stick their spikes into cave walls and absorb the minerals they find in the rock.
