Froabink are not covered in crystals, despite their appearance. Instead, they secrete bubbles which harden in clumps that shine just like jewels, whilst making them unappealing to predators like Sableye.

Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body. It protects its skin by covering its body in delicate bubbles.
