The fine scales that cover Gabtini's body are said to have healing properties. Since it regularly sheds its skin, this is easy to collect and grind into powder, but seem to only have minor benefits in reducing pain and inflammation.

A Gabtini continually molts and sloughs off its old skin. There is a long-held belief that medicine made from its scales will heal even incurable illnesses.
