Garper's tail moves in a way similar to a propeller and allows it to get up to rapid top speeds. When swimming at top speed, small Pokémon that it passes sometimes pass out from the force it generates.
Garper usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally. When it folds up its body and extends its wings, it looks like a jet plane.
