Ho-sol is currently thought to have birthed legends about various iterations of the phoenix. This heroic Pokémon takes action in all sorts of tragedies— always willing to give its own life for another. It then disappears, leaving ashes behind.

It sharply senses even subtle changes in the sky and the land to predict natural disasters. Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy.
