Hunras lives in shoals, gathering plant life to decompose near its home to more easily grow its mushroom crop. These mushrooms serve as both sustenance and traps for intruders, releasing poisonous powder on anyone who disturbs them.
A Hunras has parasitic tochukaso mushrooms growing on its back. To withstand the crushing water pressure deep under the sea, its spine is very thick and sturdy.
