Lurelp makes the star on its body flash intermittently to signal to other Pokémon that they have entered its territory. It feeds mainly on algae or shellfish that attach themselves to the hulls of boats moored in the bays.

Camouflaged as rotten kelp, they spray liquid poison on prey that approaches unawares and then finish it off. Its claws loose electricity with enough amperage to cause fainting.
