Despite the often laborious movement of magma, Magnine are incredibly fleet-footed Pokémon. They form their shells from lightweight pumice instead of sturdier cooled magma rock. The jet of fire that arises from their shell flares at high speeds.

Magnine use their shell to roll due to the lack of mobility of their magma-like body. When their shells are damaged by this rolling, their brittle shells scatter debris that they often use as fiery projectiles.

Magnine sits at rest often, its body quietly smoldering as it conserves its energy. When it senses humans in danger nearby, it uses that stored energy to dash off at breakneck speeds to rescue them.

This fleet-footed Pokémon is said to run over 6,200 miles in a single day and night. The shell on its back is made of hardened magma.
