Metadisc silk is both strong and waterproof to keep it from being swept away by underwater currents. Due to the difficulty with harvesting, only the best scuba gear is made with it, though it is often prohibitively expensive.
Metadisc make the branches of Corsola their nests. Its shell is as hard as an iron slab.
