Murbone often tries to join up with flocks of Murkrow. The two species have a complicated relationship; Murbone spends half its time protecting its brethren and the other half trying to get its bone back from them after it was stolen.
It pines for the mother it will never see again. Murbone were feared as the alleged bearers of ill fortune.
