Rather than climbing or flying up into trees, Naesect usually remains on the ground, cutting through branches above it by firing laser beams from the cannon on its back. After they have fallen, Naesect will use its beak to eat leaves and fruit.
This ancient bug Pokémon was altered by Team Plasma. It runs up short trees that grow on the savanna to peck at new shoots.
