Parachomp use the protuberances on their heads to help them track down dying trees. Using their sharp claws, they tear into these trees, allowing Parachomp to scatter mushroom spores inside.

Parachomp's scythe-like claws are coated with fungus. After Parachomp uses them to cut down a tree, mushrooms will begin sprouting from the stump the very next day. If not stopped, Parachomp will slowly clear entire mountains of their tree cover.

When it folds up its body and extends its wings, it looks like a jet plane. Parachomp are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
