Poryzma uses a computer's brightness to sustain itself, making it grow darker the longer it is present. The light it steals is gone permanently; a user will not be able to increase the brightness setting after Poryzma departs.
Light is apparently the source of its energy. It is capable of reverting itself entirely back to program data in order to enter cyberspace.
