Once it spins its gears up to high speed, Rhyink can use its drill to tunnel through solid rock, or fire it off as a projectile. However, it will quickly rush to reunite its gears, as it cannot live for long if they remain separated.
Interlocking two bodies and spinning around generates the energy they need to live. It puts rocks in holes in its palms and uses its muscles to shoot them.
