While Salatar spends most of its time in caves and rarely uses its wings to fly, it seems to be incredibly proud of them. It will spread them out and let out a small roar whenever it encounters other Pokémon, which often sends them fleeing.

A Salatar is born deep under the ground. After many long years, its cellular structure underwent a sudden mutation to grow wings.
