Sandyscoon extrude silk through soft beach sand, cloaking their vulnerable bodies in a gritty cloak that makes them an unpleasant meal. They gather discarded sand shovels to enhance this effect, keeping them safe from bird-type Pokémon along the shore.

To avoid detection by its enemies, it hides motionlessly beneath large leaves and in the gaps of branches. It likes the shovel on its head, so Sandyscoon will get serious and fight any children who come to take it back.
