If the flames on its tails are small, Charpede is relaxed and unlikely to attack. If it brings them together to form a single larger flame, it is getting ready to charge headfirst to deliver scorching venom with its horns.

Highly aggressive, it uses the claws near its neck to dig into its opponents and poison them. The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions.
