Hypuna clings to the side of a tree and spends most of its time sleeping. Although its hard shell is its primary means of defense, the drowsy gaze of its half-open eyes can lull would-be predators to sleep.
It remains virtually immobile while it clings to a tree. The arcing movement and glitter of the pendulum in a Hypuna's hand lull the foe into deep hypnosis.
