Manew swim in shallow ocean waters, quietly observing coastal cities and human constructs. Once or twice a year, Manew will travel to these coastal cities to get a closer look, sometimes taking other Water-Pokémon with them on this expedition.

A Manew is said to possess the genes of all Pokémon. On sunny days, schools of Manew can be seen elegantly leaping over the waves.
