Miminix carry a balloon and lightweight stones to make themselves look like an Onix. They often lose control of their bodies, losing parts of themselves as they rush to integrate with other Pokémon.

Each segment of Miminix's body seems to have a mind of its own, but they work together to move as one. To reduce the weight they must hold up, they use a balloon instead of a rock for the head, a disguise that is easily burst by any attack.

There is a magnet in its brain that prevents an Miminix from losing direction while tunneling. Its actual appearance is unknown.
