Though Mudscoon spend most of their time motionless in the water, they are acutely aware of everything going on around them, thanks to the highly sensitive fin on the top of their head.
To avoid detection by its enemies, it hides motionlessly beneath large leaves and in the gaps of branches. On land, it can powerfully lift large boulders by planting its four feet and heaving.
