Paradoof gnaw at fallen trees until they reduce them to wood chippings. They eat some of these to nourish the fungus on their back, and scatter spores on the rest to grow new mushrooms.

With nerves of steel, nothing can perturb it. Paradoof are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
