Parakia grabs trees with its claws and warps the wood without breaking it, opening up a large hollow cavity in what was previously solid wood. This enables Parakia to feed on the sap while scattering spores inside the tree.

It has the ability to distort space. Parakia are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
