Pararunt spends all day chewing wood with its strong jaws. Although it cannot digest the wood, the fungus on its back can and will supply Pararunt with the nutrients necessary to survive.

Its immense jaws have enough destructive force that it can chew up an automobile. Pararunt are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
