Sandsect's pointed shell resembles the tomb of an ancient king, and its hardened surface protects Sandsect from attack. Although there is an opening, the only thing hidden within is a spore-producing fungus.
Sandsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly.
