Tanew extends out the vines covering its body to make itself look bigger and surprise those it comes across. Each vine contains a modicum of psychic energy; if severed they will levitate in air and wriggle about until the energy fades.
A Tanew is said to possess the genes of all Pokémon. Its vines snap off easily and painlessly if they are grabbed, allowing it to make a quick getaway.
